Height Safety And Rigging Equipment Inspections

All lifting, safety and rigging equipment should be visually inspected by the operator for any visible sign of damage before putting to use. Inspection frequencies as stated in the relevant Australian Standard for rigging equipment must be undertaken regularly, or every 3 – 6 months, using a colour coded system for periodic inspections.

Techmar Technicians carry out all inspections on Height Safety Equipment as per Australian Standard AS1891.4.2009, the manufacturer's instructions and/or the Workplace Health and Safety Act.

All our Inspectors are Advanced Licenced Riggers and have had many years experience within the industry. This experience allows us to offer advice on rationalising the type and amount of Lifting Equipment used. This will ensure that inspections can be carried out efficiently and thus be cost effective.

The requirements for the inspection of equipment are summarised from AS/NZS1891.4
